This program helps children and adolescents faced with the challenges of mental health and substance abuse issues as they continue living in their home environments. Kennedy offers a 24-hour crisis service, managed by Steininger Behavioral Care Services. The center is located next to the emergency department at Kennedy-Cherry Hill. The center is staffed by crisis workers certified by the State of New Jersey, psychiatrists and registered nurses. Children, adolescents and adults are evaluated, psychiatrically stabilized and referred to an appropriate level of care. The service is designed for patients who present with acute psychiatric needs and who are unable to be monitored in an unlocked outpatient setting.

Outpatient Adolescent Services
Typically, treatment for alcoholism or drug addiction consists of multiple day or evening sessions throughout the week. Payment for services may include private insurance, sliding scale fees based on income, or state funded grants.
