Senior Class of 2025- Graduation Information

Winslow Township High School Graduation

Philosophy

Winslow Township High School views Graduation as an academic ceremony which honors students who have successfully completed their high school education by fulfilling all the requirements set forth by the New Jersey Department of Education and the Winslow Township Board of Education.  As such, the ceremony is to reflect the dignity and honor conducive to this solemn yet joyous occasion.  Participation in this ceremony is therefore a privilege.

 Eligibility for Participation

The privilege of participation in graduation is reserved for those students who have met all the requirements and obligations set forth in the Winslow Township Board of education policies. A student will be denied the privilege if he/she:

  1. has not met the academic requirements
  2. has violated the attendance policy
  3. has violated the electronic device policy
  4. has violated the suspension rule policy; or is suspended at the time of graduation
  5. fails to conduct himself/herself in an orderly fashion during rehearsal or the ceremony
  6. fails to attend rehearsal without administrative approval
  7. has not paid all fines or school related debts in full
  8. fails to follow the guidelines established in this memo 

Graduation

Graduation is scheduled for Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at 6:00 PM on the varsity football field.

In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will be held inside the main gymnasium. Seating is limited and all guests will be required to have a graduation ticket for entry. Students will be given their graduation tickets upon receipt of their caps and gowns. Each senior will receive a total of three (3) tickets.

Due to seating limitations, requests for extra tickets will not be honored. Please do not call the high school to request extra tickets. If the tickets are lost, they WILL NOT be replaced.

Graduation Rehearsals

Friday, June 13th - 7:19am until 11:19am

Monday, June 16th - 7:19am until 11:19am

Tuesday, June 17th - 7:19am until 11:19am

Participation in rehearsals is mandatory. Students having early release must make the necessary changes in their work schedule.

Proper Attire for Graduation

Students are required to wear a cap and gown during the ceremony.  No slogans or writing is permitted on caps or gowns. Boys are required to wear a dress shirt, dress pants or khakis, socks, and dress shoes.  Girls are required to wear a white or light pastel shirt/blouse with dress pants or dress of the same colors.  A heeled shoe is appropriate. Pins may be needed to secure the cap. Sneakers, jeans, signs, etc., are not to be worn.  Students who do not comply with the dress code before or during the ceremony will not be permitted to participate or continue to participate in the ceremony.

Student Conduct

Students are required to conduct themselves in a manner reflective of the dignity and honor of the occasion.  Shouting and hurling of objects are not permitted.  Students who are boisterous or disruptive will be removed from the ceremony.

Graduation Night

 All seniors who are participating in graduation must report to the main gymnasium no later than 5:15 PM.  Seniors are encouraged to park in the gymnasium lot located in the back of the building.  Additional space will be available behind the auditorium and in the student parking lot by the football field.  Students will line up and proceed to the football field from the gymnasium. Actual diplomas will be distributed immediately after the ceremony in the gymnasium. Family members are not permitted to enter the gymnasium during the distribution of diplomas.

Guests

Guests should arrive at least one-half hour before graduation begins to be seated. Late arrivals cannot be seated during the graduation processional. Late guests will not be permitted to enter the football area until after the graduates have been seated. Admission at that point will be standing room only around the perimeter of the fence.

Special Seating

Special seating for handicapped persons and one attendant will be provided on a limited basis. Handicapped parking will be along the fence line of the football field. To reserve special seating, please call Ms. Evans, 12th grade Assistant Principal Secretary, on or before Monday, June 9, 2025 at 856-767-1850 extension 8014.

Guest Parking

Guests are asked to park in the areas in the back of the high school behind the auditorium and by the football field.  Additional parking is available at the Winslow Township Middle School. Parents, guardians and guests will not be permitted to enter the building.

Inclement Weather

In the event of inclement weather, the ceremony will be held in the main gymnasium.  All guests will enter by way of the front gymnasium entrance.  Admission to the gymnasium will be by ticket only.

Thank you for your cooperation and understanding in advance.  The preceding guidelines have been established to make graduation a safe and memorable experience for everyone.
