Winslow Township Color Guard and Indoor Band
The Winslow Township Color Guard and Indoor Band are coming to the end of another successful season; they both gave their best performances of the season this past weekend at the South Jersey Regional Championships hosted at Eastern High School.
The Indoor Band placed 2nd in the Scholastic A Winds group, with a score of 79.45. Their show, titled Missed Connections, shows the attempts of the band trying to get two of their friends to meet and fall in love—if only they could look up and notice each other! Their score is third highest heading into Atlantic Coast Championships, which will be held this weekend in Wildwood, NJ. Their performance in the preliminary round is Thursday, May 1 at 2:50 PM, and Scholastic A Winds Finals begin at 3:00 PM on Saturday, May 3.
The Indoor Color Guard's show, titled Crown and Glory, is set to music from the musical SIX — the six wives of Henry VIII singing live in concert to retell their story, and earn their "crown and glory." Their performance at Region Championships on Sunday earned a score of 92.09 and first place in the Scholastic Regional A Guard group—their second Region Championship in four years! Congratulations to six: Katareena Fountain, Julianna DiCicco, Nevaeh Rowe, Hannah Velez, Shyla Wallace, and Zion Young.
Their show has the highest score heading into Atlantic Coast Championships this weekend in Wildwood, NJ. Their preliminary round performance is Friday, May 2 at 6:52 PM, and Finals begin at 10:30 AM on Sunday, May 4.
For those that want to attend and cheer on our amazing performers, tickets for admission to the Wildwood Convention Center are $32 for adults and $27 for seniors and students (children under 5 are free).
