March 16, 2020

Dear Parents:

While there has not been a confirmed case of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) within the Winslow Township community at this time, the Governor of New Jersey has taken the proactive step of closing all schools. Effective Tuesday, March 17, 2020, all schools in the Winslow Township School District will be closed and will remain closed until further notice. During this time we are encouraging all parents to continue following CDC recommendations to prevent the spread of viruses in our community.

During the school closure, the Winslow Township School District will provide breakfast and lunch to all students (public, private, charter, and parochial) in the community who qualify for free and reduced lunch. Starting Tuesday, March 17, Winslow Township High School and Winslow School No. 3 will open from 9 AM to 11 AM to distribute bag meals (Grab and Go) to qualified community students. Breakfast and lunch will be provided Monday through Friday, until schools reopen.

All student assignments will be on their schools website. Parents of students who were not in school today, may pick up packets at their child’s school by 3 PM on Tuesday, March 17, 2020. Please feel free to contact your child’s teacher by phone or through your schools established online communication process for directions. If there is a need to contact your building Principal, you may do so by contacting their district email address. Parents who do not have internet access may call the district’s Curriculum Office for assistance at (856) 767-7222 ext. 7106.

Again, I thank you for your patience, understanding and your continued support.

Sincerely,

H. Major Poteat, Ed.D.

Superintendent
