WTHS Marching Band Accomplishments for Week of 9/8/18

On Saturday, the WTHS Marching Band hosted the 1st Annual Edgewood Fall Classic at Winslow Township High School.  This was the first home competition ever at Winslow Township High School.  The competition was sanctioned by Tournament Of Bands and 11 Bands from New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Maryland participated.  The first part of the Competition was held in a Clinic format and began at 12 Noon. Each Band performed their show and immediately met with members of the National Judges Association judge’s panel, who gave instant feedback regarding their performance.  Each Band was given a 30 minute block of time in which to perform, meet with the judges and perform a second time.  The second part of the Competition was held in the traditional Competitive format.  Winslow Township High School Marching Band performed last of the evening to a packed stadium.  This was the first performance with our new uniforms and the new look was amazing.  The Band performed in exhibition because of this being our home Competition but scored an unannounced 75.9 coming in second to Eastern Regional by 1.1.  This is our first ever score in Open Class and we are very pleased by the result.
